40 countries are seeking to move their embassies in Egypt to the new capital, said state-run Administrative Capital for Urban Development (ACUD) on Tuesday.

ACUD is scheduled to meet between 38 and 45 representatives of diplomatic missions on October 16 to discuss the accomplishment rates in the new capital’s first phase, spokesperson Khaled El Hosseini told Amwal Al Ghad.

“The diplomatic district in the new capital is spanning over 1,600 feddans,” El Hosseini said.
