African Leadership Magazine to Host Africa Legislative, Legal & Good Governance Conference in Abuja

In line with her continued support and promotion of US-Africa relations, the African Leadership Organization – publishers of the African Leadership Magazine U.K., will be hosting a 2-nation tour of Nigeria and Liberia with a high-powered U.S. delegation to be led by the President of the National Bar Association of the United States, Judge Carlos Moore.

The 10-day tour is designed to promote people-to-people and business-to-business engagements between African Business, Political and diplomatic leaders with their United States counterparts.

The tour is scheduled to kick off in Lagos on 25th April 2022 with the Lagos Business Forum & Networking Dinner. The event is billed to hold at the Lagos Continental Hotel by 6.30 pm with the theme: Leveraging Partnerships for Africa’s Economic Growth and Development. The African Leadership Magazine is putting together the Lagos Business Forum & Networking Dinner in partnership with the National Bar Association (NBA) of the United States of America. As a powerful and strategic association in Washington DC, the National Bar Association is visiting Nigeria on a governance and partnerships tour to harness ideas and strategic partnerships to fulfil the current United States government’s renewed quest to strengthen trade, commerce, security and health partnerships with Africa. As a significant contributor to the government’s policies, the NBA will be discussing ways of promoting Nigerian Business interests in crucial policy discussions in Congress and at the national level. They also desire to meet and connect ready businesses with their American counterparts for mutually beneficial partnerships.

The delegation will also participate in the African Legislative, Legal & Good Governance Conference on the 29th April 2022 at the Sheraton Hotel & Towers, Abuja, by 10:00 am prompt. The event with the theme: Policy, Justice and Global Cooperation for Building back better shall also have in attendance the Vice President of Liberia, Her Excellency Jewel H. Taylor, Nigeria Minister of Justice, Hon. Abubakar Malami, SAN; among other leading business, political and diplomatic leaders. The African Legislative, Legal and Good Governance Conference shall x-ray the role of the parliament, judiciary, and other government agencies in promoting fast-tracked sustainable economic development in Africa after the pandemic induced disruption. The conference shall also highlight the interplay of the law and lawmakers in promoting good governance in Africa while also evolving solutions to some of the continent’s challenges.

The conference shall feature Keynote Speeches; Panel Discussions; Business Roundtable; Induction into the African Leadership Council; Award presentation.

The delegation shall also join Liberia’s business, political and diplomatic leaders for a one-day Liberia Business & Policy Roundtable.
