AFRICAN LEADERSHIP MAGAZINE TO SET THE AGENDA FOR NIGERIA’S 2019 ELECTIONS

As Nigeria prepares for a decisive elections in February 2019, African Leadership Magazine would be setting the agenda for the leaders who would emerge from the electioneering process, during the Nigerian Democracy and Development Forum billed to hold on the 3rd February 2019. The event with the theme: with the theme: “ From Africa to the World: Galvanizing the Next Generation of African Change Agents”, is scheduled to hold at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja, Nigeria.

The Forum shall play host to leading Nigerian political, business and diplomatic leaders, from across the country.

Nigeria has witnessed an exponential economic growth in the last two decades, which has seen her move to become the largest economy in the continent and the 27th largest in the world. It is no coincidence that these phenomenal achievements took place with the country’s return to democracy. In 2019, Nigeria will mark the 20th anniversary of her return to democracy. This no doubt shows that democracy is a catalyst for economic growth and development.

This event would, therefore, host leaders in the country that have contributed towards sustaining the country’s democratic journey and economic growth and development.

Part of activities lined up shall be the 10th anniversary lecture; unveiling of the African Leadership Special Compendium and publication captioned “Pillars of Nigeria’s Development and  Democracy – A Chronicle of present-day Organizations and Individuals building the New Nigeria”, chronicling their contributions, achievements and efforts towards the advancing development; entrepreneurship and innovation in the country today.  

Some expected guests and discussants at this event include His Excellency, Sen. Ifeanyi Okowa, the Executive Governor of Delta State; Dr. Joyce R. Aryee, former Ghanaian Minister of Education and Information; Dr. Cletus Wotorson, Former President of the Senate of the Republic of Liberia; and a host of others.
