Algeria’s energy ministry is seeking bids in a tender for the installation of 150 MW of solar photovoltaic (PV) capacity across the country’s Southeast region.

The tender was issued by the Regulatory Commission for Electricity and Gas (CREG) last weekend. In addition to the construction of the solar parks, it also calls for the provision of operation and maintenance (O&M) services for a total of 15 solar plants, each with a capacity of 10 MW.

Interested parties will be able to submit bids by February 19, 2019. Technical offers will be open on the same day, according to the tender notice. Successful projects will be developed on a build-own-operate basis and will be awarded 20-year power purchase agreements (PPAs).
