Zandre Campos, CEO of ABO Capital, a leading international investment firm headquartered in Angola, announced today that the company has made its first two investments in the United States market. Both investments will help bring emerging technologies, one in data and one in renewable energy, back to Africa.

ABO Capital invested in Uncharted Play, a renewable energy company that has a proprietary technology that places a customizable micro-generator into any product that moves, using kinetic energy to create an off-grid source of power for mobile and IoT Devices.

They also invested in San Francisco-based AtlaSense whose A.I. platform integrates organizations’ disparate data sources into a central platform, and uses a self-learning neural network to provide organizations and users with new insights. The platform has existing applications that help solve several compliance and legal issues, and companies are encouraged to use AtlaSense’s A.I. toolsets to build their own applications.

“We are constantly exploring new ways to bring excellence to Africa and are thrilled to make our first two investments into the US market, where emerging technologies and disruptive business are continuously on the rise,” said Zandre Campos, Founder and CEO of ABO Capital. “Both companies have the ability to help rapidly advance the countries in Africa, helping to ensure we enter the smart tech age.

MORE, (Motion-based, Off-grid, Renewable Energy) is Uncharted Play’s proprietary technology that places a customizable micro-generator into any product that moves, using kinetic energy to create an off-grid source of power for mobile and IoT Devices.  “With MORE, Uncharted Play has the ability to harness the most under-utilized energy source in the world – kinetic energy – by placing customized micro generators within products that we use every day.  The MORE micro generators can be placed into products ranging from floor panels to baby strollers, creating new sources of clean renewable energy that can power mobile technology and the internet of things,” added Jessica O. Matthews, Founder and CEO, Uncharted Play.

The ABO Capital team will continue to expand their international investments, bringing global value back to countries throughout Africa.

Zandre Campos is one of the great, innovative business leaders and global entrepreneurs emerging out of Africa. Campos was named one of the Top 25 African business influencers and was a recipient of the Distinguished Business Excellence Award by African Leadership Magazine.
