According to Botswana‘s health and wellness ministry, experts are looking into a new coronavirus mutation found in four people in the country.

According to social media posts, the mutation has been registered as a new variation of Omicron. According to the ministry, the four cases are being closely monitored in order to learn more about the variant’s prevalence and severity.

According to the ministry, it is still exploring the features of this omicron subdivision, with international help, to provide more information on its behaviour.

At this time, it is unknown what he will do after leaving the position. COVID-19 vaccines are also being studied to see if they are effective against this strain.

According to the ministry, the four infected people had been fully vaccinated and had only mild symptoms. The public is encouraged to get vaccinated and, if necessary, get booster injections.

As of April 11, 2022, Botswana has recorded 305,206 covid-19 infections and 2,686 deaths.
