Galaxy Blackbone MD Wins Special Award At 6th US – Africa Business And Policy Forum

The Managing Director of Galaxy Backbone Ltd. Nigeria, Professor Muhammad Bello Abubakar, has been awarded the Special African Business Leadership Commendation Award by the African Leadership Magazine (UK) for his ample commitment to exhibiting excellent qualities in business as a leader.

The Award presentation was done by Dr. Ken Giami, the CEO and Publisher of the Magazine, at the 6th US – Africa Business and Policy Forum which held virtually on Thursday, June 24, 2021, an event that brought relevant stakeholders and leaders from across the continent together to discuss how possibilities surrounding US – Africa relations.

Professor Abubakar appreciated the ALM Group for the award and added that it is an encouragement for him to do more towards the development of the continent, a cause to which he is already committed.

“It is more or less a motivational award you have given us. We will do all that we can to see that we continue to uplift the organizations where we are to become more relevant in Nigeria, and also other organizations in Africa to go along with the objective of the award” he said.

Professor Abubakar is a Professor of Petroleum Geosciences with over two decades of working experience spanning academia, oil and gas exploration research, and development and innovation institutions. He is a strategic thinker with strong leadership and management skill. He has impressive exposure to global best practices in the field of energy.

Other awardees at the event include Dr. Adesola Adeduntan, the CEO of Firstbank Nig. Ltd; Ms. Nana Ama Poku, the Deputy CEO of the Ghana Export-Import Bank (GEXIM); Professor John Kennedy Opara, the Chairman of CSS Group; and, Mr. Peter Cole Chiori, the MD/CEO Ocean Glory Commodities Ltd.
