The Right Honourable Gaston Browne, Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda, is confirmed to attend the International Forum on African Caribbean Leadership (IFAL) 2026, taking place on 24 September at the Marriott Marquis, Broadway, New York, during United Nations General Assembly Week.
Prime Minister Browne will participate in the Heads of State & Government Interventions, contributing to high-level discussions under the forum theme, “The Global African Alliance: Reimagining Solidarity, Sovereignty & South–South Cooperation.”

Browne has served as Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda since 2014 and was re-elected to office in 2026. His government has placed emphasis on economic transformation, regional cooperation and investment, while he has also held senior responsibilities within the Eastern Caribbean regional financial system.
In June 2026, Browne assumed the chairmanship of the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States Authority, succeeding the Prime Minister of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. During his tenure as Chairman of the ECCB Monetary Council, he advocated greater regional investment, entrepreneurship and economic transformation across the Eastern Caribbean.
His participation at IFAL 2026 adds an important Caribbean government perspective to conversations on African-Caribbean relations, economic cooperation and South–South partnerships.
