The second edition of the Ghana Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and Young Chief

The summit which is being organised by the Chief Executives Network Ghana Ltd is under the theme “Corporate Leadership Governance and Technology: Strong Pillars for Business and Economic Growth.”

The event is expected to bring together business leaders, stakeholders, investors, service
providers, regulators, government representatives and thought leaders to deliberate on issues of mutual interest regarding major economic trends, opportunities, government policies, legislation, new projects and also challenges in the business sector. More than 30 high-profile speakers have been lined up to participate in the various sessions which include panel discussions, plenary, as well as networking. Topics to be discussed include
Policy and Regulation, SME Finance, Business Growth, Technology, Women CEOs and SME
Rising.

In Ghana SMEs constitute 92 percent of registered businesses and they provide 85 percent of manufacturing employment. They are estimated to contribute about 70 percent to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP). Earlier in August 2018 during the launch of the summit, Ernest De-Graft Egyir, the CEO and Founder of Chief Executives Network Ghana, noted that: “The theme aims to better equip CEOs and entrepreneurs with the strategic leadership capabilities.”
