About

Leadership in Africa has evolved over the years, tilting towards a more democratic government, and enlightened populace, although challenges abound, Africa has continued to strive for a better society, where its leaders are more transparent, accountable and innovative; while its citizens remain engaged in the decision making process.

Businesses have also not been left behind as they have continued to offer disruptive products and services, touching society and operating business beyond just profits – but aiming for greater societal impact through corporate social responsibility and sustainability practices.

The Summit will therefore look into ways of advancing and sustaining the global push for the UN backed SDGs on the continent while addressing the challenges that bedevils economic slow progress in its business landscape. The Summit, which is organized on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly, shall also serve as a global platform for showcasing the continent’s contributions to the world, while fostering the debate on building a strong and virile Africa.
