Mr. Gil Bires, the Director-General of Mozambique’s Investment and Export Promotion Agency (APIEX), has been bestowed with the distinguished Distinguished Business Impact Award and a prestigious US Congressional Commendation at the 12th ALM Persons of the Year (POTY)


With the theme “Building Resilient African Economies,” the event was held at the Ethiopia Skylight Hotel in Addis Ababa, on March 15th, 2024, and attracted over 300 attendees, including distinguished academics, business executives, industry leaders, legislators, investors, and representatives of international development organizations.
