Mr. Peter Cole Chiori, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Ocean Glory Commodities Limited, has been honoured with the Business Excellence Award by the African Leadership Magazine.

Mr. Cole received the award at the African Leadership Magazine’s 6th US – Africa Business & Policy Forum, which held on Thursday, June 24, 2021, with the theme: US – Africa Relations: Partnerships, Recovery, and Sustainability.

The summit had in attendance H.E Melaku Alebel – Ethiopia’s Minister for Trade & Industry, and Jakkie Cilliers – Board Chair, Institute of Security Studies in South Africa. Ambassador Reta Joe Lewis works as the Director of Congressional Affairs for the German Marshall Fund of the United States.Gary Whitehill – Chief Geostrategist, African Beyond Aid – USA Ambassador Bisa Williams – Deputy Secretary, Bureau of African Affairs, US State Department Joan Wadelton, Founder, US – Africa Business Bridge; among others.

In announcing the award, the Chairman and Publisher of African Leadership Magazine, Dr. Ken Giami, stated that Mr. Peter Cole was conferred with the award for his tremendous sacrifices and commitment to the growth and development of Africa, as well as for the exemplary business leadership he has exhibited over the years. 

In his acknowledgment, Mr. Cole expressed gratitude while acknowledging that the award is a pat on their back and will inspire them to do more for Africa and ensure that they keep pushing and adding value to the system in Africa.

The African Leadership Magazine unveiled Mr. Cole as the recipient of the Business Excellence Award for the Year 2021, alongside Dr Adesola Kazeem Adedutan, Managing Director and CEO of the First Bank of Nigeria Limited, Mrs. Nana Ama Poku, Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Ghana EXIM BANK, amongst others.

The African Leadership Magazine US – Africa Business & Policy Forum is a distinguished yearly summit that brings together trailblazers, policymakers, private sector leaders, industry titans, civil society leaders, and stakeholders from different sectors.
