Nigeria: Health Ministry Moves to Curtail the Spread of Cholera at IDP Camps

Medecins Sans Frontiers (MSF) a medical humanitarian organization,  in collaboration with Borno state Ministry of Health and other organisations have moved to attend to the flood victims who are now affected with cholera.

The organization in a bid to ensure effective treatment has set up two Cholera Treatment Units (CTU), and an Oral Dehydration Point (ODP) in Maiduguri and Monguno local government areas.

Also, a 100-bed capacity treatment centre was set up at Dala area of Maiduguri and an ODP at Muna Garage Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) camp, while a 40-bed capacity center was set up at Monguno.
