Nigeria’s Leading Real Estate Czar, Sam Ogrih receives the Sir Ahmadu Bello Award

The Chief Executive Officer of Delta Mega-Trend, Prince Sam Ogrih, has been conferred with the Sir Ahmadu Bello Sardauna Sokoto Platinum Leadership Award by the Northern Youth Council. He was also inducted into the Northern Youth Council Hall of Fame as the   Garkuwan Matassan Arewa – Shield of the Youths.

The award was presented to Prince Ogrih during a courtesy visit by the association’s leadership, led by the Vice President, Hon. Haruna Kwanem, who represented the President, Dr Isah Abubakar. The group who lauded his contribution to jobs and wealth creation in Nigeria stated, “the award is in recognition of your immense contributions towards purposeful leadership and youth empowerment.” The group also noted that “with the growing number of unemployed young people across Nigeria, your mission of creating wealth for the country’s young people is quite commendable.”

Prince Ogrih, who led the group on a tour of the Plantation City, told the visiting delegation that “my vision is to build the largest gated community in Africa, and I believe in the inherent capacity of our young people to help in the actualization of this vision.” Prince Ogrih also won the Real Estate Personality of the Year thrice in a row. He was also recently honoured by a leading Nigerian Newspaper, Daily Independent, as the Real Estate Personality of the Year. He was honoured alongside former Vice President Atiku Abubakar Rivers State Governor Nyesome Wike, among other distinguished Nigerians. 

Similarly, The Plantation City, Warri Delta State, was named the Smart City of the Year by the award organizers for its unique Smart solutions, which combines safety, security, convenience and class. The Plantation City, a first-rate gated community in Warri, was planned from inception to check insecurity and minimize residents’ exposure to violent clashes in Warri. The plantation city borrowed fine features from some equally sturdy communities worldwide.

The event had in attendance former and serving government ministers, members of the national assembly, representatives of state governments, and the crème of Nigeria and Africa’s real estate and the housing industry. The annual event brought together over 250 players in Africa’s real estate and the housing industry. It became a platform for advancing affordable housing and excellent services delivery in the housing sub-sector.

Prince Ogrih has received local and international recognition for housing and real estate excellence, philanthropy, and jobs and wealth creation. Mr Ogrih also recently received the Real Estate CEO of the Year award during the 4th Nigeria International Housing Award, organized by the Nigeria Housing Advocacy Network (NHAN).

This adds to the growing list of awards and honours conferred on Prince Ogrih for his exceptional entrepreneurial skills and commitment to jobs and wealth creation in Nigeria and Africa at large.

Mr Ogrih has also been honoured by Rotary International to support the organization’s work to improve lives.

He was also recently honoured by the government and the state of Georgia, USA, with an honorary citizenship and congressional commendation; CEO of the Year by CEOs Club Network, Nigeria; Business Leadership Excellence Award, by African Leadership Magazine U.K.; Africa’s Patriotic Personality of the Year Award, by The League of African Development Students, among others.
