The University of Abuja’s Global Footprint under Na’Allah’s Leadership

Professor Abdulrasheed Na’Allah, as the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Abuja, has ushered in an era of significant collaborations, fostering groundbreaking partnerships that have augmented the institution’s academic landscape and global footprint.

The University of Abuja recently concluded the installation of cutting-edge pieces of equipment. A project facilitated by the Tianji City Government to enhance the Faculty of Engineering’s Luban Workshop. This monumental accomplishment, following a memorandum of understanding signed in 2019, showcases the successful completion and operation of the equipment, marking a milestone in technological advancement within the university.

Adding to this trajectory is an illustrious event graced by the esteemed presence of Kim Young-Chae, the Korean Ambassador to Nigeria, in which the University of Abuja recently inaugurated the Korean Corner at the Faculty of Arts. This initiative serves as a vital educational resource, enhancing Korean language studies at the university while fostering cultural exchange between Nigeria and South Korea. Developed through a collaboration between the Korea Cultural Centre Nigeria, the Korea Foundation (KF), and the Korean Embassy in Nigeria, this centre reflects the Vice-Chancellor’s vision of global engagement and education, enriching students’ academic experiences and nurturing stronger ties between the two nations.

Further strengthening international ties, the university hosted the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Chair, facilitating an engaging platform for students studying Japanese to interact and learn about the bilateral relationship between Nigeria and Japan.

Moreover, a notable visit was made to the National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies (NILDS) by the University of Abuja’s leadership, led by Vice-Chancellor Na’Allah. The discussions focused on fostering collaborative initiatives between these two esteemed institutions, aiming to synergize efforts in educational development and legislative studies.

Professor Abdulrasheed Na’Allah’s visionary leadership has underscored the importance of global partnerships, exemplified by the University of Abuja’s embrace of collaborations with diverse entities, fostering academic excellence, cultural exchange, and research advancements. These dynamic collaborations are pointers to the institution’s commitment to fostering a globally integrated and academically vibrant community.

Continuing on this route, the Vice-Chancellor was elected as a member of the Administrative Board of the International Association of Universities (IAU), further consolidating the university’s position within the global higher education community.

Additionally, the university received recognition from Zero Tolerance for Social Immoralities Initiatives (ZETSI) Africa, acknowledging Professor Na’Allah’s exceptional contributions to humanity and resolute commitment to ethical leadership.
