Following the closure of the nomination period on Friday, May 4, 2024, the African Leadership Magazine (ALM) is pleased to announce the shortlist of nominees for the 14th African Business Leadership Awards (ABLA) 2024. This call for nominations attracted submissions from individuals across the African continent and in the Diaspora; the public voting phase has now commenced.

The African Leadership Magazine invites African business stakeholders to participate by visiting the African Leadership Magazine website (www.africanleadershipmagazine.co.uk) to vote in the African Business Leadership Awards (ABLA) 2024 polls, which end on Wednesday, 22 May 2024.  The voting stage is the second step in our meticulous 3-step points-based selection process.

The ABLA selection process includes a call for nominations, followed by public voting on the shortlisted nominees, and concludes with the editorial board’s comprehensive review of the nominations and voting submissions. The final decisions, determining the winners of the African Business Leadership Awards (ABLA), will consider both public voting and supporting evidence. Voting carries a 65% weight while supporting evidence contributes 35% to the final selection process for the 2024 winners. The African Leadership Magazine encourages participation from across the continent to ensure a fair and representative outcome in deciding the winners across the various categories of the African Business Leadership Awards 2024.

In unveiling the nominees, the Chairman of the African Leadership Organisation and Publisher of the African Leadership Magazine, Dr. Ken Giami, stated “These nominees represent the men, women and organisations who embody resilience, ingenuity, and a commitment to Africa’s development. All are winners in their rights for making it to this stage of the African Business Leadership Awards 2024.

The winners and 1st runners-up in each of the ABLA categories will receive prestigious award trophies and be formally honoured at the 14th African Business Leadership Awards (ABLA) Ceremony, which will be held during the 9th edition of the ALM Africa Summit, scheduled from July 4-5, 2024 at the UK House of Lords and the Queen Elizabeth II Centre, Westminster, London – UK.
