African Leadership Magazine, the leading organization engaged in building bridges of alliances and interactions between Africa and the rest of the world this evening once again, pulled off a superlative event in the aristocratic city of Abu Dhabi where the crème of African and Middle-Eastern Energy Giants gathered to network and discuss common challenges and prospects.

The event was the Africa-Middle East Energy Summit 2014 which held at the Sheraton Abu Dhabi with the active collaboration and participation of the UAE Chapter of the CEOs Club Worldwide.

Welcoming delegates to the event, Dr. Ken Giami, the Publisher and Chief Executive Officer of African Leadership Media Group set the tone for the evening by encouraging delegates to make the best of the rich assemblage of major players in the energy sector gathered under one roof to expand their business frontiers.

According to Dr. Giami, “This forum is about Africa and the Middle East and how both regions can share experiences and best practices… I therefore urge both African and Middle Eastern businesspeople here gathered to take advantage of this forum to form lasting partnerships and business relationships based on integrity, hard work and fairness”.

The Summit had representatives from Intels, West Africa’s leading Oil and Gas Logistics company, Promethium Carbon of South Africa, The Abu Dhabi Water and Electricity Authority, DutcoMcConnellDowell, the largest Oil and Gas Construction firm in the Middle East, Adams Consulting and a wide array of African and Middle-Eastern businesses and organizations.

Speaking at the event, Naseem Javed, C.E.O of ABC Name Bank Inc in Abu Dhabi noted that Africa and the Middle East had a shared heritage which they are not exploring. He charged delegates to the summit to begin to build alliances and share best practices as no region can go it alone in an increasingly globalised universe and both regions are historically and strategically positioned to benefit from each other’s experiences.

There were presentations from Akintoye Akinpelu and Aminu Atiku Abubakar representing Intels West Africa on their latest expansions, Abdulrahman Naqi of the Abu Dhabi Water and Electricity Authority on best practice models in a public corporation and Dr. Tariq Nizami of the CEOs Club on opportunities that abound in joining the premier Chief Executive Networking Club in the World.

Dr. Tariq Nizami, President of the CEOs Club Worlwide commended African Leadership Magazine for the foresight in organizing the Summit and expressed the readiness of the CEOs Club Worldwide to mibilise its members in 28 Affiliate Country Chapters to attend all events organized by the African Leadership Media Group.

The event rounded off with the presentation of the African Energy Excellence Awards to Intels W.A, Promethium Carbon S.A, the Abu Dhabi Water and Electricity Authority and DutcoMcConnellDowell M.E for their outstanding contributions to the development of the Energy Sector in Africa and the Middle East.
