As part of efforts towards improving Ghana’s current power supply situation, the government through the Electricity Company of Ghana has recently signed an agreement with Karpowership Ghana Company Limited for the provision of a 450MW capacity to enhance power supply in the country.

The new Karpowership is a replacement of the current lower 225MW capacity power generator which is already in use.

Based on the agreement, the new gas-to-power vessel which is already in Ghana’s territorial waters is to supply power for ten years.
