Mr Admassu Tadesse, Group President and Managing Director of the Trade and Development Bank Group (TDB Group), has been honoured with the Distinguished African Trade Finance & Regional Economic Integration Leadership Award at the 2026 International Forum on African-Caribbean Leadership (IFAL), held on 24 September at the Marriott Marquis, Broadway, New York, during United Nations General Assembly week. The recognition was conferred during the forum’s Recognitions & Awards presentation, hosted by African Leadership Magazine.

The award recognises Mr Tadesse’s sustained contribution to trade finance and regional economic integration across Africa, delivered through more than two decades of leadership in development finance.
Mr Tadesse is Chairman of TDB Group’s Executive Management Board and previously led PTA Bank, overseeing its transformation into the present-day TDB Group. He serves on the governing organs of several continental and international financial organisations and has held leadership and board positions across development finance institutions and investment platforms.
IFAL is a flagship event of the African Leadership Magazine, convened annually on the margins of the United Nations General Assembly. The forum brings together heads of state, policymakers, investors and private-sector leaders from Africa and the Caribbean to strengthen trans-regional cooperation, trade and investment.
