Harnessing these emerging technologies could unlock substantial economic growth, create millions of jobs for a youthful population, and position Africa as a defining force in the next digital era.
Nigeria’s $1 billion digital infrastructure investment targets a critical deficit: Africa holds 17% of the world’s population but less than 1% of global data centre capacity. Without local compute, African businesses pay a “latency and sovereignty tax” routing data through Europe.
