Angola: WHO Congratulates Angola on Its Commitment to Yellow Fever Control

A representative of the World Health Organisation (WHO) Hernando Agnelli, has recently congratulated the Angolan government on its work to fight against yellow fever outbreak in the country.

The WHO official, who was speaking at the launch ceremony of the second phase of the campaign against the epidemic, stated that he considered the work done with the enormous combat of yellow fever in the country, saying that the country’s engagement is yielding good result since the beginning.

Hernando Agnelli recalled that no case has been recorded in Luanda province for 45 day.

The country reported 20 cases only since June countrywide, WHO official noted, stressing the need to be watchful despite progress in the fight against the epidemic.

He advised all citizens in the country to get vaccinated, especially those residing in the affected provinces.
