BREAKING: Botswana set to Host ALM Persons of the Year Awards, 2025

Dr. Ken Giami, Chairman of the African Leadership Organisation and Publisher of the African Leadership Magazine (ALM) has officially announced Botswana as the designated host country for the 2025 edition of the African Leadership Magazine Persons of the Year (POTY) Awards Ceremony, with the theme chosen as ‘Inclusive Leadership for an Interconnected Africa – New Paradigms for future Realities’ . This exciting announcement was made during the 2024 edition of the ceremony, held on March 15, 2024, at the Ethiopian Skylight Hotel in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

Botswana’s selection as the host country underscores its growing influence and stature in Africa’s political and economic spectrums. Renowned for its stable democracy, sound governance, and commitment to sustainable development, Botswana serves as an exemplary model for the continent. Hosting the POTY ceremony in Botswana provides a unique opportunity to showcase the nation’s achievements, leadership in driving positive change across Africa, and the many investment opportunities in the country.

The choice of Botswana as the host country is based on an evaluation of various factors, including its political stability, growing infrastructure, top-tier hospitality services, and dedication to promoting African excellence and innovation. The ALM Persons of the Year (POTY) is a flagship annual event of the African Leadership Magazine that has been consecutively held over the past 12 years, bringing together policymakers, private sector leaders, civil society leaders, thought leaders, and stakeholders from across Africa and the rest of the world to deliberate on issues concerning Africa’s socio-economic growth and development. The event has also evolved into a prestigious platform for honouring people-cantered leadership and Africans who are advancing a pan-African agenda in their respective fields of endeavour.
