Mr Daniel Asiedu, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of OmniBSIC Bank Ghana Limited, has been honoured with the African Banking Excellence Award for Growth, Innovation & Customer Value at the 2026 International Forum on African-Caribbean Leadership (IFAL), held on 24 September at the Marriott Marquis, Broadway, New York, during United Nations General Assembly week. The recognition is scheduled to be conferred during the forum’s Recognitions & Awards presentation, hosted by African Leadership Magazine, subject to final confirmation.

The award celebrates OmniBSIC Bank Ghana’s growth trajectory and Mr Asiedu’s contribution to innovation and customer value in Ghanaian banking under his leadership.
Mr Asiedu is a banker and Chartered Accountant with more than 30 years’ experience spanning auditing, banking, financial management and investment. He holds an Executive MBA in Finance, an MA in Economic Policy Management and an MSc in Development Finance from the University of Ghana, as well as a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Ibadan. He previously served as Managing Director of Agricultural Development Bank and has held other senior banking roles.
IFAL is a flagship event of the African Leadership Magazine, convened annually on the margins of the United Nations General Assembly. The forum brings together heads of state, policymakers, investors and private-sector leaders from Africa and the Caribbean to strengthen trans-regional cooperation, trade and investment.
