Ethiopia: 730 Million Br to Reduce Road Crashes

The Addis Ababa Road Safety Council (AARSC) during the strategy launch on September 6, 2017, at Sheraton Addis Hotel, proposed the allocation of 730.3 million Br for the reduction of road crashes by 50% in 2023.

The strategy has identified six areas of implementation giving priority to pedestrians who account for the majority of the population exposed to auto crashes and their effects.

The Council which came up with the strategy was made up of 11 government institutions,  and the plan was developed within the immediate past fiscal year.
