The new Ethiopian ambassador to Egypt, Azanaw Tadessea, arrived from the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa on Saturday on the Ethiopian Airlines flight, where he completed his arrival at the airport’s VIP lounge.

Tadessea will start submitting his papers to the Egyptian Foreign Ministry in preparation for assuming his duties, replacing former ambassador Taye Atske-Selassie Amde, who has his term in Egypt.

The former Ethiopian ambassador to Cairo will serve as Ethiopia’s representative to the United Nations in New York.

Before leaving Cairo, Amde held a press conference in which he sent several messages to the Egyptian people, stressing that the relations between Egypt and Ethiopia are going through the best bilateral stages at all levels, stressing the commitment of the Ethiopian political leadership to Egypt’s interest.
