Ghana: GH¢456 Million Allocated to Private Investors for “One-District-One-Factory Project”

GH¢456 million has been donated to private sectors by the government to harness the speedy implementation of One-District-One-Factory project.

The deputy minister of information disclosed this information yesterday, at a town hall meeting organized by the Sunyani West District Assembly at Odumase.

Mr. Perry Curtis Okudzeto also mentioned that 80 local and international investors have been selected by the Ministry of Trade and Industry to participate in this project.

A separate unit at the Ministry of Trade and Industry set up by the government are in-charge of working out ways of picking out areas to site the factories, he added.

Currently, 350 local and foreign investors have applied indicating their readiness to partner with the government for the implementation of the project.
