Ghana Set to Increase Cement Production Capacity

CBI Ghana is set to construct a technologically advanced cement grinding factory in few months, as part of efforts to increase the cement production capacity of the country, as well as provide high-quality cement for users.

The laying of the foundation of the cement plant for CBI Ghana Limited will be done by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo at the Tema Free Zones Enclave and construction will commence shortly after.

CBI Managing Director, Frédéric Albrecht said that the plant will manufacture high quality cement with a brand name, “Supacem”.

“We intend to produce and supply high-quality Supacem cement to Ghanaian builders and stabilize cement supply for all required grades in Ghana,” said Managing Director, Frédéric Albrecht.

Also, the Supacem will be supported by LafargeHolcim, the standard leading cement manufacturer in the world.
