HMD Global unveils the Nokia 7.1 in Kenya

HMD Global, the home of Nokia phones, has today announced that the availability of the new Nokia 7.1 in Kenya.

According to HMG Global, the device’s HDR display lies within a masterfully crafted, gorgeous design and offers an advanced imaging experience powered by a dual rear depth-sensing camera with 2PD, for fast accurate autofocus and ZEISS Optics to ensure you never miss a moment.

“We know a lot of our fans in Kenya enjoy creating videos and watching content on their smartphones. That’s why it was important for us to bring both ZEISS optics and PureDisplay technology together in a versatile device that offers a superior content experience, regardless of whether you’re taking photos for your social media or watching the latest series on your favorite streaming service.” Mark Misumi, HMD Business Manager East Africa said

The Nokia 7.1 is also the first smartphone to come with PureDisplay screen technology for stunning HDR10 cinematic quality entertainment inside and out.

It comes with a Full HD+ 5.84” and 19:9 screen ratio display which automatically adjusts brightness and contrast to ambient lighting conditions.

In terms of camera, the Nokia 7.1 features a dual camera set up at the back with 12 megapixels and 5 megapixels sensors. The primary 12 megapixels sensor has a 1.28-micron pixel size and f/1.8aperture. The front camera, on the other hand, is 8 megapixels selfie with f/2.0 AI-enhanced face unlock feature. The optics on Nokia 7.1 also come with Zeiss lenses on top.

The Nokia 7.1 features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, or 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage. It runs Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box.

The Nokia 7.1 comes in Gloss Midnight Blue and Gloss Steel colors and is available from 6th November. The Nokia 7.1 will retail from Ksh 30,000 from selected retail outlets.
