Leveraging its offline sales model, e-commerce firm, Konga, is pulling more crowd to its platform as it joined other operators across the globe to flaunt the annual Black Friday deal.

Having launched the sales on Thursday, the company has informed that the sales will run till November 28, 2018, both on its online and offline stores to improve customers’ experience.

According to the company, the all-round discount sales, which it tagged ‘Konga Yakata’ would offer customers unmatched discount on a wide variety of products including mobile phones, laptops and computing items, home and kitchen appliances, electronics, consumer goods, wines and spirits, food items and much more. It added that the deal would unload variety of surprises and freebies for shoppers including flash sales, treasure hunt and special giveaway on specific days of the month-long campaign.

Commending the company’s offline sales initiative, one of the shoppers, Mrs. Awe, commented that the opportunity to enjoy an offline version of the Konga Yakata sales were among the special attraction for this year’s sales. “In previous years, it was a struggle competing with millions of Nigerians for the special online deals. This year, Konga has expanded the shopping options available for customers with their retail stores and this made it easy for me. I have already decided on the offline store where I will be doing my shopping and the good thing is that I can pay cash and pick up my items same day.” The company noted further that it decided to introduce the offline sales to take care of the problem shoppers faced during and after Black Friday. It said that there is always the deluge of undelivered or unfulfilled orders as a result of the spike in traffic which is a feature of the heavy shopping season. “Most times, shoppers have no choice but to face cancellation of their orders as a result of the failure to meet up with their deliveries by these e-Commerce companies who are often overwhelmed and under immense pressure.

“This is why the Konga nationwide network of brick-and-mortar stores presents a very interesting dynamic for this year’s Black Friday sales. Many savvy shoppers who have had their fingers burnt in previous years now have a choice: place your orders online and choose to pick up in nearest retail store or simply walk into the store to do your Yakata shopping and walk away with your items without any stress. It is a game-changer for e-commerce in Nigeria,” it explained.
