Microsoft Global President, Jean Philippe Courtois will today meet with Nigeria’s Tech Community during a visit to the Co Creation Hub Nigeria, a social innovation centre dedicated to accelerating the application of social capital and technology for economic prosperity.

While in Nigeria, Mr Courtois will engage the country’s tech community in a discussion bordering on technology ecosystems in Africa, Microsoft’s contributions and other ways Microsoft can empower the community.

Those present at the event are expected to be inspired by the success story of a Microsoft developer on building for the Windows platform, getting over 5 million downloads and monetizing his app.

The event is one of Microsoft’s ways of showing its dedication to serving citizens, businesses and communities around the world. Education in Africa has been transformed and local innovation fostered by the company’s innovative technologies and local partnerships.

Employment opportunities have also been created, enabling a continuous cycle of sustained social and economic development in Africa.
