Mr. Khulekani Mathe, Chief Executive Officer of Business Unity South Africa (BUSA), has been named Winner of the African Leadership Award for Excellence in Economic Policy & Private Sector Advocacy.
The prestigious recognition celebrates his distinguished leadership in advancing economic reform, strengthening public-private dialogue, and championing private sector interests within South Africa’s policy ecosystem. Since assuming office as CEO in January 2025 following his tenure as Deputy CEO, Mr. Mathe has reinforced BUSA’s position as the unified voice of organised business, promoting regulatory certainty, macroeconomic stability, and sustainable growth.
