Namibia Gets €133.5 mln Support From Germany

The government of Germany has again proved its commitment to the development of Namibia by making the sum of N$2 Billion available to the government for technical and financial cooperation projects and programmes.

The three areas around which the cooperation between the two governments focuses on include the management of natural resources, sustainable economic development, and transport.

 

The Deputy Minister of Economic Planning Lucia Iipumbu made it known at a press conference on Friday, that 73.5 percent of the money is grant support, while N$60 million is an interest-reduced loan.

The German Ambassador, stated that Namibian government takes care of the planning and bringing up project ideas while the both nations work together to see that everything is properly cordinated and executed.
