Senegalese Prime Minister Resigns after Presidential Election

The Prime minister of Senegal, Mahammad Boun Abdallah has resigned with his cabinet members following the emergence of Macky Sall as President.

It is in the tradition of Senegal for a cabinet reshuffle to take place at the emergence of a new government.

Senegal’s ruling party emerged victorious during the election and president Macky Sall is expected to proceed with his third cabinet reshuffle.

Mahammad Boun Abdallah, 54, is the third prime minister to have served under Macky Sall after Aminata Toure and former banker Abdoul Mbaye.
