Tanzania: AUWSA Set to Drill Wells to End Water Issues in Arusha

A recent statement by the Managing Director Arusha Urban Water Supply and Sanitation Authority (AUWSA), Engineer Ruth Koya, has revealed that residents of Arusha community will in a short while begin to enjoy portable water supply.

According to Engr. Koya, the drilling of more than 56 deepwater wells approved by her authority will commence soon.

The drilling project will be executed by Korea Engineering Consultants Corporation of South Korea and after completion, over 200 million litres of water on a daily basis will be achieved.

The targeted areas for the project include; Magereza, Tengeru, Mbuguni and Usa-River in Arumeru District, Arusha Region, as well as Maji-Moto in Hai District of Kilimanjaro among others.
