The Egyptian ‘Experience and invest’ Campaign Becomes Official Regional Supporter of 2018 FIFA World Cup

The Egyptian ‘Experience and invest’ campaign of the Ministry of Investment and International Cooperation on Tuesday signed a contract with FIFA to become an Official Regional Supporter of the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia, to promote Egypt as a global investment destination and to attract more tourists from around the world to visit.

Egypt, acting as the Official Regional Supporter of the World Cup, gives us the outreach in Africa to highlight and communicate the premium positioning and enormous investment diversity and potentials which Egypt possess according to Sahar Nasr Egypt’s Minister of Investment and International Cooperation. The minister added that the campaign will engage with football fans both through social media and directly to showcase the wide spectrum of investment opportunities in Egypt.

Rania al-Mashat Egypt’s Minister of Tourism stated that the Experience & Invest campaign is determined to use this opportunity to showcase in a modern way the rich and rewarding diversity of tourism experiences that Egypt offers. She pointed out that the Ministry of Tourism will set up a series of events in Russia in conjunction with the World Cup, which will last over a month, and will show the fans and the largest sports audience in the world what Egypt has of touristic destinations in a new and attractive way.

Downie, FIFA’s Director of Marketing Sales and Strategy, expressed his delight to sign with Egypt – Experience & Invest as an Official Regional Supporter of the World Cup. “This collaboration is significant for FIFA, as Africa is a key emerging region filled with football lovers. We are happy to have another strong stakeholder on board and cannot wait for the biggest show on earth to begin”.
