The annual Kampala Color Fun Run which held this year in Uganda was attributed to promoting a reading culture among children.

The Color Fun Run which was inherited from the Hindu festival of colors known as “Holi” by the Ugandans youths has been used over the years to campaign for major necessities in the country.

During the campaign, hundreds of Ugandans run for more or less than five kilometers as they are been showered with colored powder at every kilometer of the run until the finish point.

In 2015, the Color Fun Run was campaigned for an awareness of cancer in the communities.

This year’s color fun run is in partnership with Smart Toto to stimulate a desire for books among the children and youths of Uganda by raising a million books for a million children in the community libraries.
