Abdoul Karim Diallo, Director General of Société Nouvelle de Commerce S.A. (SONOCO Group), Guinea, has been honoured with the African Leadership Excellence Award in Industrial Innovation & Economic Development at the 15th ALM Persons of the Year Ceremony held at the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel Accra.
The award recognises Mr Diallo’s exceptional contributions to industrial development, innovation, and economic growth in Guinea and across Africa. Under his leadership, SONOCO Group has expanded its operations, introduced innovative industrial practices, and created significant employment opportunities, fostering sustainable development and positioning Guinea as a growing hub for industrial advancement.

The African Leadership Excellence Award in Industrial Innovation & Economic Development highlights Mr Diallo’s visionary approach, combining business acumen with social impact, and underscores his role in driving Africa’s industrialisation agenda through innovation, investment, and strategic leadership.
The 15th ALM Persons of the Year Ceremony convened political leaders, business executives, policymakers, diplomats, and development partners from across Africa and beyond.
