Dufil Prima Foods Aqcuires Dangote Noodles for $12M

· Dangote Noodles Limited, a subsidiary of Nigerian company Dangote Flour Mills sells plants at its Ikorodu and Calabar factories to rival pasta maker, De-United Foods Industries a subsidiary of Dufil Prima Foods for 3.75 Billion Naira ($12.26 million). Says company.

· Aliko Dangote, owner of Dangote Flour Mills says he is planning to quit the noodles business to focus on flour and pasta production, analysts say.

De-United said the transaction had been approved by both companies and the regulators with a condition that the company continues to produce noodles under the Dangote brand for two years after the deal has been finalized.
