The Nigerian based Global Networking Platform – Her Network has finally revealed the Official Nominees for their Inaugural Woman of the Year Awards (HNWOTY). The big reveal was done recently via Instagram Live by a selection of notable women leaders from across diverse sectors in the country.

The official nominee line up is representative of the diverse and unique female talent resident in Nigeria and the diaspora. Some of the ladies in the respective categories include a finalist in the Professional Achievement category of the British Council Award 2017 Timipre Wolo;  Popular Nigerian blogger turned philanthropist Linda Ikeji; Google Country Manager Juliet Ehimuan; Foluso Gbadamosi, and a host of other very outstanding Nigerian women.

Following a press statement from founder, Nkem Onwudiwe, on the illusion of glass ceilings and the reality of clear skies, Her Network team has revealed the theme for the celebrations as “Her Sky is Big Enough”. The theme is motivated by the need to eliminate unnecessary competition and preach the gospel of community, collaboration and impact.

The ceremony is expected to hold on Sunday, 10th December 2017 in Lagos, Nigeria.
