Egyptian Industry Minister Amr Nassar told companies participating in the trade mission organised by the Mediterranean Institute for Asia and Africa (ISMAA) that the Egyptian market can be used as an industrial and export axis for Italian businesses to reach markets in Africa, the Middle East, and the Gulf, according to Egyptian daily Al Ahram, referring to a meeting in Cairo in recent days.

The minister said “there are great opportunities for cooperation between Egypt and Italy, above all given that Egypt is currently building an integrated plan to strengthen industrial and commerical cooperation”, Al Ahram reported.
It said Nassar is aiming to attract small and medium sized Italian businesses to the Egyptian market.
