Ghana: Government Distributes Relief Items to Flood Victims in the Northern Region

The flood affected victims of Tamale, northern region of Ghana will be receiving some relief items from the government, the regional minister, Mr. Salifu Saheed has said.

The minister also announced that the relief items will be sent to the community today, to all families who suffered losses as a result of the storm.

683 houses and 5,699 people were affected by the storm at Sagnerigu district in tamale metropolis. Following the flood incidents, some politician has seized the opportunity to criticize the government.

However, the minister has appealed to all politicians to cease from those un-patriotic acts, claiming the government will not abandon her own people and will always fend for their losses and stand for them.

He has also begged all the flood victims to bear with the government, and they will make sure that the items are well distributed adequately to all the people.
