Mozambique Economy Grows 5.9 Percent in Third Quarter

The Mozambican economy has grown by 5.9 percent in the third quarter of 2015 recent data on its statistics website has shown. This comes after an expansion by 5.7 percent in the preceding quarter.
Growth in the third quarter was attributed mainly to the gas and electricity sectors as well as increased activity in the mining sector, the National Statistics Institute said.
Mozambique’s central bank expects the economy will grow by around 7 percent next year.
