Hon. Dr Natalia /Goagoses, Governor of Namibia’s Erongo Region, is confirmed to attend the International Forum on African Caribbean Leadership (IFAL) 2026, taking place on 24 September at the Marriott Marquis, Broadway, New York, during United Nations General Assembly Week.
Governor /Goagoses will participate in the Public Sector & Subnational Leadership Spotlight, a session examining the role of subnational governance in Africa’s global development and leadership landscape. The session is linked to the Top 25 African Leading Governors Yearbook 2026.

A parliamentarian since 2020, /Goagoses has built a long public-sector career, with extensive experience in education administration and regional governance. Namibia’s Ministry of Higher Education, Technology and Innovation records that she previously served as Deputy Minister of Urban and Rural Development before becoming Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Technology and Innovation.
She also previously served as Chief Regional Officer of the Erongo Regional Council. During that period, the ministry notes that the council achieved five consecutive years of unqualified audit reports under her leadership.
Her participation at IFAL 2026 brings a subnational governance perspective to the forum’s wider conversation on the Global African Alliance: Reimagining Solidarity, Sovereignty & South–South Cooperation.
