Prime Minister Gonsalves; President Rakotovao, Calls for Greater Private Sector Partnership at IFAL 2018

Private sector leaders have been charged to support the government’s efforts towards ending the circle of the crisis in Africa. This charge was contained in separate statements and submission made by African political and diplomatic leaders in the just concluded international forum on African Leadership, IFAL, organized by the African Leadership Magazine on the sidelines of the 73rd session of the United NationsGeneral Assembly Meeting in New York. The event with the theme: Peace, Security, and Sustainable Development in Africa, had in attendance, political, diplomatic and business leaders including His Excellency, Ralph Everard Gonsalves, Prime Minister of St. Vincent & Grenadines, His Excellency, Rivo Rakotovao, Acting President of Madagascar, Hon. John Peter Amewu, Minister of Energy, Ghana, Hon. Gbehzohngar Findley, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Liberia; His Excellency, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa, Governor of Delta State, Nigeria; Dr Kayode Adeduntan, Managing Director/CEO First Bank, Nigeria; Mr Ever Navarro, California GOP Congressional Candidate, amongst others.

The forum which is its 7th run is a one-day strategic high-level summit designed to build consensus on responses towards pressing regional and international challenges guided by a shared vision, principles, aspirations, and an innovative values-based approach. The summit is convened as part of African Leadership magazine’s mandate of evolving solutions to some of Africa’s peculiar challenges. Thus, key takeaways from this summit will help towards improving African economies, education, security, leadership at all levels of society, youth productivity, and women empowerment as well as address community development needs.

This year’s forum brought together privates sector leaders with key policymakers towards forging a lasting partnership for sustainable development in Africa.
