South Africa, Algeria, Others Join UN Rights Council

The U.N. General Assembly has elected South Africa, Algeria, Bangladesh, Belgium, Chile, Costa Rica, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Maldives, Morocco, Romania, and Vietnam to the Human Rights Council for a three-year term.
