Turksat A.S, a Turkish satellite operator is currently having discussions with the Nigerian Communications Satellite Ltd to look into ways the satellite communications industry can be expanded to accommodate a wide variety of service which will be provided at cheaper rates.

The communication companies of both countries began talks at the ongoing Satellite 2018 Conference and Exhibition being held in Washington DC, and both parties have agreed to look into newer technical and commercial agreements to expand satellite footprint with a wider usage on the satellite infrastructures of both companies.

This agreement will also allow for exchange of content between Nigeria and Turkey on their broadcast platforms and give viewers a larger variety of viewing options.

Both satellite communications companies expect full delivery on the agreement as soon as a working and agreeable business model is decided upon.

The Satellite 2018 Conference and Exhibition has in attendance over 15,000 satellite connectivity professionals with the aim of furthering their knowledge in both satellite communications and space technology.
