As part of efforts to address the country’s housing shortages, the Uganda’s National Housing and Construction Company has intensified efforts to add 280 housing units to Uganda’s housing sector, through the Naalya Heights Estate project.

The Managing Director of NHCC, Mr. Parity Twinomujuni today signed off the site possession certificate to Miraj Barot, the managing director of Tirupati Development Limited after a site visit by both teams, according to a media statement.

“Our teams have spent sleepless nights working to achieve this day and I pray for success and hope that the next time we meet here, it will be the project handover” said Mr. Barot.

The site handover of Naalya heights serves to show that NHCC is strong in its resolve to provide the best housing solutions available in Uganda. This comes on the heels of the launch of the Rwizi view Estates in Mbarara recently. The project phase 1 will take atleast 18 months before completion while the whole project is slated to take 36 months.

“We are grateful that this project has eventually taken off and I would like to thank all staff involved for the hard work that they have put in. This is a first because the contractor will also be the financier and we hope for more partnerships of this kind” said the National Housing and Construction Company Managing director.

Officials at the event explained that National Housing and Construction Company seeks to close the gap in housing requirements country wide and maintain their image as the biggest and most reliable housing solutions provider.

Also present at the launch ceremony were the Board Chairperson NHCC, Ambassador Agnes Kalibala and the Tirupati Group chair, Hashad Barot among others.
