With the help of the US Agency for International Development (USAID), Ethiopia has experienced a significant improvement in its health sector, which has also resulted in the reduction of maternal death by half and child death by two thirds so far.

Recently, a newly constructed health centre was been launched in Ethiopia, by the USAID.

The state-of-the-art facility will be equipped with upgraded medical facilities and over 65 health professionals will be employed to the new Lemi Health Centre.

The health centre has been structured to serve 47,000 patients, administering civilian foreign aid and development assistance.

Following this new development, residence of the surrounding areas will have better access to essential health services like immunizations for children, safe childbirth and HIV care and treatment services.

Lemi Health Centre was constructed by Universal Construction Plc, a local company in the region that was contracted to construct the project.
