At the recently concluded Achievers Award in Adelaide, Australia, Zimbabwean beautician won the Female Entrepreneur of the Year award.
The nurse by profession has taken over the Australian makeup industry with her Ruby Lynn Luxury Cosmetics line on every shelf in the country.
Lynn said she started the business after struggling to find cosmetics that are suitable for her dark skin tone in Australia, which prompted her into making cosmetics that are suitable for dark skin women.
Her cosmetics ranges are available in Canada, the United Kingdom, and the Netherlands, amongst others. The products are also available online as well as through shops in some countries in addition to beauty salons in Harare, Avondale and in Bulawayo.
The company’s theme is “Hakuna mukadzi akashata” (no woman is ugly).
