A leading Real Estate Developer and promoter of the most extensive real estate development in Warri, Delta State, South-South Nigeria, Mr Sam Ogrih, has said that value, quality services delivery, safety and security are some of the qualities that make The Plantation City a prime choice for investors.

Mr Ogrih, who is the Chief Executive Officer of Delta Mega Trend Ltd, developers of The Plantation City, Warri, Delta State, made this known in an exclusive interview with African Leadership Magazine UK.

According to Mr Ogrih, “clients buy and subscribe for different reasons. Some buy because of the high security we offer, especially considering the security issues in the region; others buy because of the tremendous value that our development offers.” Continuing, he said that, “some of the subscribers have seen over 100% increase in the value of their purchase, because, we invest in continuous value addition as a company”. He also added that “some others buy because of the value of services we offer, including 24 hours power supply; high level “Security presence, amongst others.”

It might interest you to note that, we have our own Independent Power Project, IPP, which services the estate and its environs. We also have a dedicated police station that handles all estate-related cases and a mini commercial hub that caters for the needs of residents. We are building a community of people,” he said.

According to a 2018 PwC report, Nigeria has about 17 Million housing deficits as at 2012 and requires 700,000 houses annually compared to less than 100,000 that is currently constructed. However, analysts have maintained that the real problem stems from low-income distribution of potential homeowners. The cost of building a house in Nigeria is relatively higher, while the average income level is relatively lower compared to the global average.
Herein lies the opportunity for investors willing to work with local players to meet the growing demand using latest trends that reduces the cost of construction.

Mr Ogrih, an accountant, turned builder tells us more about his experience, philanthropy, among other issues.
The full interview will be featured in the next issue of the African Leadership Magazine. He is also set to star as the guest of the week for Saturday 25 2020.
